About The Position

Aviation technician troubleshoots, repairs, and/or overhauls, and tests aircraft components including the removal and reinstallation of all sub-components. Receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Work involves disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and testing of components serviced and the pieces of the repair station manual. Applies technical knowledge of aircraft components to determine equipment malfunctions. Applies required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation. Applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints or manufacturers’ manuals. Will be required to make entries in work order documentation for work performed. Provides other duties as needed and assigned. · Understand and perform functions in accordance with FAA, EASA, AS9110, and ISO9001 Standards

Requirements

  • 36-150 APU Series experience preferred.

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum four years of actual and recent experience in the repair, modification, maintenance, and overhaul, testing of APU.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional groups.
  • Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings, and other small scales.
  • May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklifts, etc.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, collaborative, and relationship-building skills; ability to interact positively with teammates at various levels across the company and with customers.
  • Must be able to read dials/gauges and identify small objects and hand tools.
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and document maintenance functions.
