The Heavy Track Mechanic II position at KBR supports the Army Prepositioned Stocks - Four (APS-4) Program located in Camp Carroll, Korea. This role is crucial for providing Care of Stock in Storage (COSIS) based preventive maintenance and repair services under the guidance of the Heavy Track Section Supervisor. The Heavy Track Mechanic II will be responsible for performing maintenance procedures on various track vehicles, including the M1A2SEPv2, M109A6, and M60 AVLB, among others. The job entails a wide range of general maintenance tasks, including Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS), general inspections, component repairs and replacements, and unscheduled maintenance for inbound and outbound vehicles. The position requires diagnosing or troubleshooting the source of component and system malfunctions, determining necessary repairs and parts, and completing lubrication orders. The Heavy Track Mechanic II will also be involved in -10 and -20 level PMCS required maintenance, which includes the removal, replacement, and repair of sub-assemblies and components such as engines, transmissions, turret, and armament systems. Additionally, the role involves repairing and replacing Fire Suppression System modules, sensors, wiring, and extinguisher bottles, as well as pneumatic systems and components. In this position, the Heavy Track Mechanic II will perform maintenance-related procedures such as road tests and ground guide operations, make emergency repairs to equipment, and maintain cleanliness and functionality of vehicles. The role also includes maintaining and accounting for tools and equipment, providing technical assistance and guidance to junior mechanics, and assisting in supervising maintenance personnel. Compliance with safety and environmental regulations, as well as KBR's Zero Harm program, is a critical aspect of this position. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
