About The Position
The Baptist Health Medical Group (BHMG) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in Orthopedic Surgery to join our team in Lexington, Kentucky. The Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) will function autonomously while collaborating with other health professionals to provide high-quality, cost-effective care to patients. The role involves managing healthcare systems and influencing healthcare decision-making through expert clinical reasoning, research, and theory-based practice. The APC is responsible for providing direct patient care as part of a physician-led team, in accordance with State Law and approved Medical Staff privileges. The APC will be expected to maintain national certification and ensure eligibility for professional liability insurance at all times. The position requires a current valid and unrestricted license to practice as an APC in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, along with BCLS certification through the American Heart Association and ACLS as required for the position. The APC will also have access to advanced technology capabilities, including DAX, and will utilize the EPIC electronic health record system integrated throughout all hospital and practice locations.
