About The Position

General Summary: The ARNP or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s), who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for: + Performs physical examinations of hospital patients including, but not limited to: new patient visits, pre & post-operative care, hospital consultations, inpatient rounding and discharging of patients per hospital protocol + Provides assistance during procedures when requested + Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc + Monitors the patient's course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed + Collaborates with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff + Displays a caring and professional attitude at all time as well as maintaining personal and professional growth

Requirements

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public.
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to handle a high volume of patients in an inpatient setting
• Position requires a 7 on/7 off work schedule with daily hours of 6PM-6AM
• Position is based at AdventHealth Winter Garden or Minneola
• Candidate must be able to pass a third-party background check and pre-employment drug screen
• Master's degree in Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant studies
• Current, valid Florida ARNP or PA license (or eligibility) required
• Current, valid DEA license
• ANCC (or equivalent) or PANCE Certification (or eligibility) required
• Current BLS and ACLS required

Nice To Haves

• Previous Internal Medicine or Hospitalist experience is required 1 -2 years
• Prefer 2 years of inpatient based medicine, preferably in Internal Medicine
