At Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM), we have established a comprehensive Apprenticeship Program for aspiring Geomatics Technicians in the field of Survey and Mapping. This program is designed to provide hands-on experience and training in the surveying profession, which is critical for determining property boundaries and providing essential data for engineering, mapmaking, and construction projects. As a participant in this program, you will work closely with our experienced surveying team, utilizing innovative technology and advanced surveying equipment to solve complex problems faced by our clients. Throughout the two-year program, you will engage in various tasks including collecting angles and elevations, taking detailed notes, sketching drawings, and reading plans. You will also gain proficiency in drafting using AutoCAD and performing essential surveying tasks such as records research and quality control. Our commitment to safety is paramount, and you will be required to complete safety and corporate compliance training as part of your apprenticeship. Upon successful completion of the program, you will receive a nationally-recognized credential certified by the U.S. Department of Labor, enhancing your qualifications in the geomatics field.
