About the position
The Apprentice Warehouse Associate at Western States Equipment Company is responsible for maintaining the parts warehouse, which includes receiving and storing parts, filling customer orders, and ensuring the general condition of the warehouse. This role involves working under the supervision of more experienced associates and developing skills in various areas such as shipping and receiving, contamination control, hose assembly, and customer service. The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and accountability within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the parts warehouse by receiving and storing parts.
- Fill customer orders in a timely manner under supervision.
- Keep the warehouse clean and orderly.
- Deliver and pick up parts from customers and vendors as needed.
- Perform daily bin and physical inventory counts.
- Repackage parts with damaged packaging and ensure proper storage.
- Identify and implement general housekeeping best practices.
- Build reusable hoses and salvage fittings as necessary.
- Obtain necessary forklift and equipment certifications.
- Greet clients and provide customer service effectively.
Requirements
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to obtain forklift operators certification.
- Ability to learn and use computer systems for warehouse operations.

- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
