About The Position

The position involves performing preventative and predictive maintenance procedures on all tooling, designing, maintaining, or repairing various fixtures and jigs as required. The role also includes performing welding and fabrication work as necessary and entering remote work order requests into the system when needed. Each employee is responsible for the quality of their personal performance and its impact on the environment, safety, and data security across various departments including development, production, management, logistics, and aftermarket services. Managers and supervisors are accountable for their team's performance in these areas as well. Comprehensive quality management is emphasized through training, continuing education, and the provision of information and updates. Knowledge of customer-specific requirements is necessary, which can be gained through advanced training or work experience. The role requires learning to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, as well as reading schematics and planning mold repairs. Familiarity with ISO 14001 and TS16949 is also important. The position may involve special projects as deemed necessary and assisting the Tooling Supervisor and Tooling Manager. This is a 3–5-year program, and candidates should be willing to commit to it.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Machining and/or Mechanical experience.
  • Ability to perform in a production environment.
  • Learn to operate heavy equipment, operate forklift, work around and operate cranes, and work directly with high voltage electronics.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance procedures on all tooling.
  • Design, maintain or repair various fixtures and jigs as job requires.
  • Perform welding and fabrication work as necessary.
  • Enter remote work order requests into the system when necessary.
  • Learn to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Learn to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
  • Learn to plan and follow through all Mold Repairs.
  • Learn to maintain mold, secondary equipment, and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Become familiar with ISO 14001 and TS16949.
  • Knowledge of costing, controlling assets and maintaining within budget restraints.
  • Assist Tooling Supervisor and Tooling Manager as necessary.
