Requirements

  • Position requires the incumbent to take Company training for and acquire Fork Truck Operator's Certification within the first six months of employment.
  • Current valid Maine driver's license is required.
  • Position requires the incumbent to acquire and maintain a valid State of Maine Class B Commercial Driver's license.
  • CDL learner's permit must be acquired within the first six months of employment.
  • Preference will be given to candidates currently holding a Maine Class B Commercial Driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Receives shipments of materials and supplies, checks quantities and quality and reports acceptances, exceptions and shortages.
  • Physically locates stock and materials in designated areas.
  • Withdraws and assembles stock and materials as requested and delivers the same to designated locations, truck, or loading platform.
  • Receives and records materials returned to the warehouse, separates salvage materials from junk and returns salvage material to stock.
  • Operates forklift truck and other vehicles and equipment as required.
  • Performs physical inventory counts and inventory cycle counts of all stock items and documents as required.
  • Works at all times in accordance with established safety rules and regulations and attends scheduled safety meetings.
  • Performs general housekeeping duties as well as building and facilities maintenance as required.
  • Complies with all environmental regulations and procedures including, but not limited to, spill reporting and response, waste management, oil spill prevention, transportation of hazardous materials, etc.
  • Participation is required in Controlled Substances and Alcohol Use and Testing Program as prescribed by the US Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, Part 382, including pre-employment and random testing.
  • Works in accordance with the documented environmental procedures, instructions, and specific responsibilities as defined in individual procedures and instructions. Reports problems or deviations associated with environmental issues and the Environmental Management System (EMS) to the Environmental Department.
  • Other related duties as assigned, including designated duties associated with System Restoration.
