This apprentice level position works directly with a skilled signal technician helping to complete tasks to operate and maintain county traffic signals and intelligent transportation systems. No previous traffic signal equipment experience is required. External and on-the-job-training is provided so individuals can obtain the knowledge, skills, and judgment required to further their technical expertise and advance their career. This position is in the Traffic Signal Systems group, which is under the Public Works Department. Generally, the hiring range is $52,197-$65,246 annually.
