You’ll create with your hands, working outdoors in different environments, and tell your family and friends 'I helped build that'. (Do you have Apprentice credits from somewhere else? They might transfer to our certified NCCER program.) Military Veterans are encouraged to apply! Our Apprentice school qualifies for the GI Bill!

Requirements

• A High School diploma or GED is required.
• Experience using hand tools and tape measure is a plus.
• Ability to keep it a Drug-free Workplace.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Ability to work as a team.
• Basic 'Tape measure math'.
• Ability to work in extremes of heat, cold and bad weather, indoors and outdoors.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the workday, and lift/carry up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to work efficiently in confined spaces.
• Ability to work reaching above shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending.
• Exercise fine motor control, with good vision and excellent hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Work safely no matter what. Safety is our highest priority.
• Learn to lay out and install commercial duct work in a wide variety of job settings.
• Unload, move, and handle commercial-scale duct work.
• Properly finish and seal duct work.
• Work at heights, from ladders, lifts, or roof.
• Assist with installing commercial HVAC equipment.
• Learn to use a variety of power & hand tools.
• Complete class and at-home study with skills and textbook testing.
