About The Position

The apprentice medical assistant works under the supervision of experienced clinical staff to perform a variety of patient care activities. The apprentice medical assistant assists the provider and nursing staff to maintain the highest standard practice of care. They are responsible for restocking of supplies in the work area and maintaining a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • The apprentice medical assistant must be currently enrolled in the Department of Labor Registered Youth Apprenticeship Program for Medical Assistant training through a local, accredited technical training program- required
  • The apprentice medical assistant is eligible to apply for a medical assistant position upon completion of the required apprenticeship hours as outlined in the program.
  • BLS- required within 90 days of hire

  • Restocking of supplies in the work area
  • Maintaining a safe working environment
