About The Position

Southern Electric Corporation, a Quanta Services, Inc. company, is seeking an Apprentice Lineman (AP8) to further their proficiency in all training and knowledge of the previous steps. The AP8 will perform Journeyman Lineman work and learn the skills necessary to manage a crew, including both the line work and the clerical responsibilities of a Foreman.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8000 logged hours in Power Line Distribution and/or Transmission.
• Ability to act as Foreman under supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of courses such as Power Transformers 2, Circuit Breakers 2, Voltage Regulators 2, Capacitors and Reactors, Relays 1, Relays 2, Control Equipment, and High Voltage Terminations.

Responsibilities

• Act as Foreman under supervision to demonstrate planning and leadership skills.
• Log a minimum of 8000 hours (four years) in the field of Power Line Distribution and/or Transmission.
• Complete assigned courses from the T&D Power Skills training website.
