Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must meet entry criteria for Apprenticeship Schooling.
• Enrolled in an approved Apprenticeship Program.
• Ability to learn hand conduit bending for timely installations.
• Ability to use two-handed tools and equipment (e.g., cable cutters, hammer drills).
• Possess personal hand tools as directed.
• Valid driver's license and own transportation.
• Ability to operate a platform lift.
• Basic math skills and ability to understand verbal instructions.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist electricians by performing tasks and material handling under direct supervision.
• Maintain an orderly and clean work area, demonstrating safe work habits.
• Comply with Company/Job Safety Requirements (OSHA).
• Report to assigned job site location on time as directed.
• Properly store and maintain tools and equipment.
• Safely handle tools, equipment, and materials.
• Organize materials and tools to maintain a clean work area.
• Assist in wire pulls and installation of assigned work, conduit, wires, and strapping as directed.
• Accurately identify colors of wires and conductors.
• Work from ladders and in restrictive/tight areas such as switchgear rooms and attics.
• Dig trenches using hand tools as required.
• Read labels, job site maps, and instruction manuals accurately.
