About The Position

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted statewide provider of commercial skilled trade services with over 20 years of experience serving commercial accounts. We’re hiring an Apprentice Hydro Jet Technician to join our commercial service team. This role assists with operating high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean plumbing lines and perform waste removal at job sites throughout Central and Northern California, using company-provided tools, equipment, and vehicles. This is a third-shift position (10:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m.) with a regular schedule of Sunday through Thursday.

Requirements

• Plumbing trade school graduation is preferred but not required
• Proficient in English with basic computer literacy, including the use of mobile communication and email applications
• Possess a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record with fewer than two points within the past five years
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods
• Available to work graveyard (3rd shift), Sunday through Thursday

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist with inspecting plumbing systems to identify blockages and other issues under the direction of journeyman technician
• Load and unload equipment, hoses, barricades at each job site
• Assist with setting up and performing hydro jetting services on sanitary sewer lines, grease interceptors/traps, drain branch lines, storm drains and roof drains
• Maintain, inspect, and service hydro jetting equipment to ensure it is clean, functional, and ready for each job
• Clean and restore job sites after services are completed, including proper disposal of debris and materials
• Follow all safety protocols and consistently demonstrate safe work practices, including proper PPE use and equipment handling
• Assist with performing additional plumbing duties as assigned
