Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
  • Positive attitude with a strong willingness to learn
  • Dependable, reliable, and able to take direction
  • Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to operate a smartphone, tablet, and basic software applications
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Willingness to travel to assigned client sites
  • Ability to work overtime as needed, provided it does not interfere with academic performance
  • Must be able to safely work at heights using ladders up to 28–32 feet and operate equipment within manufacturer weight limits
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver tools and equipment, including extension ladders, up to 100 lbs
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach into confined spaces, and perform twisting, pushing, and pulling tasks
  • Must maintain physical stamina and endurance for repetitive tasks and extended activity
  • Must be able to stand, sit, walk, and climb ladders throughout the day
  • Must use vision, hearing, and verbal communication continuously
  • Must operate work-related equipment such as iPads, cell phones, and computers
  • Must be able to travel to customer sites as needed
  • Required to occasionally work in an office environment
  • Required to follow all applicable safety procedures

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC trade school coursework or graduation preferred
  • Prior experience in a mechanical support role or service environment preferred
  • Some hands-on HVAC or related technical experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Support HVAC-R Technicians with commercial service, maintenance, and installation activities
  • Assist with the installation of HVAC-R units, systems, and components
  • Learn to diagnose equipment issues and perform basic repairs under direct supervision
  • Participate in preventative maintenance, routine service, and system calibration
  • Complete hands-on field training with ongoing skill assessments
  • Accurately document work performed using company-provided devices and software
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures while promoting a strong safety-first culture
  • Work collaboratively with your team to meet and exceed customer expectations
