About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Apprentice/ Helper Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of licensed electricians to learn the trade, assist with installations, repairs, and maintenance of electrical systems, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with codes and company standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Willingness to participate in Gregory Electric’s electrical apprenticeship program.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools used in the trade.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various environments (indoor/outdoor, heights, confined spaces).
• Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Safety-conscious and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed electricians with installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment.
• Pull wire, bend conduit, and mount electrical boxes and devices.
• Help troubleshoot and test electrical systems to identify issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, tools, and materials.
• Follow all safety rules, regulations, and company policies.
• Load and unload materials and tools at job sites.
• Learn and apply proper electrical trade techniques under supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the lead or journeyman electrician.
