Apprentice Field Service Technician
About The Position
Stratton Sales & Service has been Utah's trusted leader in bakery equipment maintenance and installation since 1969. We're looking for an Apprentice Field Service Technician to join our team and grow into a skilled, full-time technician role. This position provides hands-on training and experience in maintaining and installing bakery equipment for retail and wholesale bakeries. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, eager to learn, customer-service oriented, and capable of working independently once trained.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Utah driver's license with a clean record (no DUI convictions)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen (drug free workplace)
- Must pass E-Verify employment authorization
- Safety shoes
- Safety glasses
- Gloves
- Mechanic tools
Responsibilities
- Replace bearings, gears, and electrical parts
- Understand and assist with troubleshooting electrical systems
- Deliver excellent customer service during on-site visits
- Safely operate power tools and machinery
- Work independently and demonstrate self-motivation
- Read and interpret schematics and diagrams
- Communicate effectively with management and team members
- Maintain attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
- Lift up to 60 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Work overtime as needed
