About The Position

Performs a variety of maintenance, repair or service duties to ensure the continuous operation of hotel/casino. Inspects all assigned equipment, noting all defective or weak parts. Ensures that all federal, state and local building and safety codes are followed.

Requirements

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in reading, interpreting and following general engineering drawings, schematics and specifications as well as manufactures instructions. This is normally acquired through three to five years of experience in commercial property maintenance and/or a Journeyman or Master Electrician License certificate.

Responsibilities

• Strictly a trainee.
• He/She is to work with a journeyman engineer at all times and is to be given the opportunity to learn all phases of engineering maintenance.
• Must attend classes two nights per week, while working, to complete his/her apprenticeship program.
• Will work in and learn all the job skills noted under maintenance engineers.
• All other duties assigned by management.
