About The Position

The Apprentice Engineer will perform general building maintenance under close supervision. Responsibilities include custodial duties, maintenance, and minor repair work involving HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. The role also involves general labor tasks assigned by engineers, interior and exterior painting, and minor repairs in wood, metal, and drywall. The apprentice will replace light bulbs, respond to emergency situations, and comply with all applicable codes and regulations. The position requires the ability to use technology such as smartphones, tablets, and building automation systems. Safety training and adherence to the uniform dress code are mandatory.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Participation in an apprentice program or trade school.
• 1+ year of related experience in a commercial property setting preferred.
• Mechanically inclined.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties, maintenance, and minor maintenance and repair work including HVAC, plumbing, and electric.
• Perform general labor work as assigned by the engineers.
• Perform interior and exterior painting, including surface preparation and minor repair work.
• Replace light bulbs, lamps, and ballasts, and clean fixtures.
• Respond quickly to emergency situations and customer service requests.
• Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations.
• Complete all required C&W Safety Training as scheduled annually.
• Maintain a neat and clean appearance while on the property.
