About The Position

Industrial Communications West is looking to add a motivated and organized Apprentice Electrician who is earning hours toward obtaining their journeyman license. Overall responsibility is to perform duties as assigned by licensed Electrician. This includes following instructions and asking questions.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age and currently registered as an Apprentice.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass substance screen, MVR and Criminal background checks.
• Good math and science skills/aptitude.
• Mechanical ability and basic understanding of electrical principals.
• Strong detail orientation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor and coworkers.
• Self-motivation, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to learn and retain skills needed for the job.
• Ability to work with colored wiring and able to identify them by sight.
• With training, ability to diagnose the root cause of issues and think logically about solutions.
• Ability to perform duties include unloading, moving materials, cleaning, sweeping, trash removal, digging for and installing underground conduits, setting lights, etc.
• Must be able to see clearly, listen and comprehend, and read, speak and understand English.
