Responsibilities

• Assisting electrician installing electrical panels and branch circuits
• Assisting electrician installing EMT, flexible, ridged, metallic and nonmetallic conduits
• Assisting electrician installing metallic and nonmetallic sheathed cables, switches, outlets and special electrical equipment
• Assisting electrician inspect interior/exterior electrical systems/components to ensure that insulation, connectors, grounding and operation are in accordance with national, state and local codes
• Assisting electrician install motors and controls
• Assisting with exit signs monthly inspections
• Assisting with emergency (egress) lights inspections
• Assisting with N-Call testing
• Assisting with receptacle testing
• Assisting with equipment safety inspection
• Assisting with audio/video setups
• Assisting with lamp rounds and lamp replacing
• Assisting with electrical and switchgear rooms clean up
• Assisting with TV installations and programming
• Help maintain and repair equipment as required by manufacturers manuals, prepare information for Supervisor to order replacement parts as necessary
• Help with snow/ice removal as requested
• Help with general building repairs/services with different trades as needed
• Completes daily time report at end of the shift
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the department and organization.
