Requirements

• Ability to operate and maintain basic cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assists with routine maintenance of school and district buildings.
• Checks and secures the building at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, cafeterias, restrooms, offices, and other areas according to district standards.
• Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors, and touchpoints.
• Maintains, cleans, and sanitizes restrooms.
• Fills soap, paper towel, toilet paper, and other dispensers.
• Mops or runs an auto scrubber.
• Extracts/bonnets carpets and assists with floor refinishing.
• Removes garbage and maintains grounds including mowing, edging, and snow removal.
• Cleans up graffiti and repairs vandalism.
• Prepares and sets up rooms for meetings and activities, cleaning up afterwards.
• Helps maintain and operate mechanical systems.
• Locks and unlocks doors, involved with building security after hours.
• Attends required apprenticeship classes and completes competency logs.
