About The Position

J.B.A. Collision Center is looking for a motivated Apprentice Technician to join our team! Responsibilities Assist technicians with identifying parts required for repair by reviewing repair orders, work orders, and Body Shop Manager estimate notes Learn to adjust, replace, and repair various truck and trailer components, including: Sheet metal and panel repairs Fiberglass repairs Basic fabrication and welding Installation and alignment of truck cab body components Introductory electrical and mechanical repairs Support vehicle tear down and inspection procedures to identify additional or hidden repairs Assist with road testing of vehicles when necessary to ensure repair quality Communicate additional damage or repair needs to the body shop estimator or supervisor Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Follow dealership, safety, and warranty guidelines at all times Actively learn manufacturer repair processes and dealership standards Perform assigned work accurately and efficiently under the supervision of senior technicians Progressively develop technical skills with the goal of advancing into a full technician role Qualifications Interest in learning collision repair, welding, suspension, or framework (experience is a plus but not required ) Willingness to train, learn new skills, and accept feedback Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools ASE Certifications are not required but willingness to pursue certifications is preferred Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance (single or family) Life and AD&D insurance (single, spouse, or child) Disability, cancer, critical illness, and other supplemental insurances through American Fidelity Competitive PTO that renews annually Paid holidays 401(k) with company match Pay is commensurate with experience and training progression. Requirements

  • Interest in learning collision repair, welding, suspension, or framework (experience is a plus but not required )
  • Willingness to train, learn new skills, and accept feedback
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude

Nice To Haves

  • ASE Certifications are not required but willingness to pursue certifications is preferred
