About The Position
The Senior Appraiser at Newmark is responsible for independently appraising real estate properties for various purposes including dispute resolution, mortgage underwriting, acquisition/disposition, portfolio analysis, and estate purposes. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the appraisal process and the ability to make independent decisions regarding complex properties. The Senior Appraiser will prepare complete appraisal reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current regulations and standards. Collaboration with senior staff is essential, as is the ability to engage directly with clients during meetings. The position also involves inspecting properties and maintaining knowledge of relevant software programs and data sources used in the appraisal business. The Senior Appraiser will be expected to complete formal rebuttal letters and review responses, providing guidance when necessary. This role is critical in establishing market value for commercial properties and requires a solid understanding of real property valuation concepts and terminology.
