About The Position

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is recruiting for an Appraisal Supervisor. The position is responsible for developing, implementing and administering the Real Estate Appraisal and Appraisal Review Program. Responsible for planning, directing, and monitoring appraisal projects statewide. Ensure staff and appraisers are conforming to current appraisal standards and meet legal requirements. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 8 years of appraisal experience, real property appraisal experience with eminent domain, or other related experience.
  • 1 year of supervision or team-lead experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of the concepts and theories of real estate appraisal, including the principles of eminent domain, real estate law as it applies to land titles and transfer documents, and appraisal and acquisition of real property for federal aid projects, and other program functions.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects.
  • Ability to communicate and interpret information for internal and external customers.
  • A resume detailing your qualifications and work history.
