About The Position

The Applied Technology Innovations Specialist will be dedicated to support and lead Innovation & Technology for Technical Teams. The Specialist will partner closely with subject matter experts from both Technical Teams and current Applied Technology experts to evaluate, define, and deliver innovative ideas originating from our Technical Teams. This position ensures solutions are thoughtfully designed, effectively executed, fully integrated into existing environments, and scalable across the organization.

Requirements

  • Strong organization skills and project management skill set
  • Background in engineering, design, or related technical disciplines.
  • Associates Degree in Computer Science, Design Technology or Computer Aided Drafting preferred
  • Minimum 10 years experience of working in IT systems, operations, workflows, and integrations.
  • Maintain a high level of quality and accuracy in all reporting, analysis, documentation, and performance data.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Technical Team’s Everyday Innovation Ideas, serving as the lead project manager.
  • Oversee all phases of the technology lifecycle: Discovery, Design, Development, Deployment, and Operations.
  • Collaborate with Business Owners and Stakeholders to define problem statements, evaluate solutions, and assemble project teams.
  • Assess solution pathways by determining whether to build internally or buy third‑party technology.
  • Ensure alignment and integration with existing technology ecosystems, workflows, and governance standards.
  • Partner with the appropriate team members to design and develop solutions.
  • Coordinate with IT to deploy, test, and monitor new solutions.
  • Work with teams to establish support models, operational ownership, and long‑term sustainability of solutions.
