The University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College at North Little Rock is seeking part-time adjunct faculty to provide a quality learning experience for students. Faculty will perform instruction-related duties in accordance with the college's mission, policies, and procedures. The successful hire will teach the Applied Technical Mathematics course, which covers algebraic operations, equations, geometry, trigonometry, and solutions of oblique triangles. Responsibilities include maintaining office hours, participating in professional development, collaborating with colleagues, and providing accurate records of assessments.

  • Participate in orientations, professional development workshops, and mandatory training.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Use contemporary educational techniques and technology.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to modify course curricula.
  • Utilize syllabus and class curriculum to present information timely.
  • Provide prompt and accurate records of assessments and final grades.
  • Complete required reports within the prescribed time frame.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the department director or school dean.
  • A Master's degree with 18 subject-specific college graduate hours from an accredited university.
  • Thorough knowledge of the teaching field.
  • Commitment to high academic standards and student success.
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts related to trade industries.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Four years of teaching experience.
  • Trade Industry experience.
  • OSHA certification.
