About The Position

The University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College is seeking part-time adjunct faculty to provide a quality learning experience for students. The successful candidate will teach the Applied Technical Mathematics course, which covers algebraic operations, equations, geometry, trigonometry, and their applications in industrial trades. Faculty are expected to perform instruction-related duties in accordance with the college's mission and policies.

Requirements

• A Master's degree with 18 subject-specific college graduate hours from an accredited university.
• Thorough knowledge of the teaching field and commitment to high academic standards.
• Excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts related to trade industries.

Nice To Haves

• Four years of teaching experience.
• Trade Industry experience.
• OSHA certification.

Responsibilities

• Teach at the undergraduate level with varying hours based on demand.
• Maintain office hours and establish a campus presence.
• Participate in orientations, professional development workshops, and mandatory training.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues, and staff.
• Use contemporary educational techniques and technology.
• Collaborate with colleagues to modify course curricula.
• Utilize syllabus and class curriculum information effectively.
• Provide prompt and accurate records of assessments and final grades.
• Complete required reports within prescribed time frames.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the department director or school dean.
