Requirements

• Proficiency in statistics and distributed systems and databases.
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with Python, Hadoop, and Spark.
• Skills in data mining and information retrieval.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze petabytes of seller and buyer data using big data processing tools like Hadoop, SQL, and Spark.
• Utilize programming languages such as Python, R, Java, Scala, and C++ to identify patterns and trends in customer activity.
• Build prototypes and perform preliminary explorations to transform data into useful reports and algorithms.
• Create machine learning models and data visualization tables to improve personalized recommendations.
• Develop new deep learning models for large-scale computer vision systems and enhance existing model performance.
• Design core text-based deep learning models for generating recommendations for eBay users.
• Promote standard scientific methodologies and processes in support of machine learning algorithms.
• Present key technical and novel research work in public forums and conferences.
