About The Position

Our team is seeking Machine Learning Scientists and Engineers to help build AI-driven products at Apple. This role focuses on ML development and implementation, working closely with hardware, software, and design teams across the company. You'll be joining a collaborative environment that fosters innovation and pushes the boundaries of AI and machine learning. Your work will contribute to how AI technologies are integrated across our product ecosystem. In this role, you will participate in the ML development lifecycle, working with cross-functional teams to bring innovative AI technologies into reality. You'll help design and implement ML models, work with ML tooling and infrastructure, support evaluation efforts, and implement model inference solutions. The team values rapid iteration, based on bringing models into reality so stakeholders can understand cutting-edge technology and research. You'll collaborate with hardware, software, and design teams across Apple, helping to implement engineering solutions ready for product development. Requirements

• Knowledge of large language models (LLMs) and multi-modal foundation models
• Experience with pre-training, fine-tuning, or performance optimization
• Familiarity with AI systems capable of reasoning and task execution
• Creativity and curiosity about applying AI capabilities to product experiences
• Ability to implement research innovations into practical applications
• Good collaborative skills and effective communication

Responsibilities

• Implement ML models and infrastructure in partnership with designers, software/hardware engineers, and R&D teams
• Support data generation, curation, and evaluation efforts for ML systems
• Help develop model inference solutions
• Prototype AI solutions that solve real-world problems
• Communicate technical concepts to diverse team members, and assist in translating research innovations into practical implementations
• Collaborate with teams across Apple to implement AI technology into prototypes
