About The Position

The College of Engineering and Technology at Grand Canyon University is seeking passionate adjunct faculty to engage and mentor students in the fields of IT and Engineering. Faculty members are expected to be energetic advisors committed to the academic, spiritual, and personal growth of students. The role involves teaching part-time, face-to-face instruction at the Phoenix campus, specifically for the Spring 2026 Semester, focusing on the course 'Applied Engineering Stochastic Processes'. This course will cover the application of stochastic processes to engineering problems, including modeling, quantification, and analysis of uncertainty, as well as an introduction to Markov chains and their applications in engineering.

Requirements

  • Minimum: Master's in an engineering discipline OR Master's in applied mathematics or statistics
  • Preferred: Doctorate

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
  • Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
  • Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
