About The Position

Thread AI is focused on building an AI-native workflow orchestration engine and is looking for dedicated individuals to join its growing team. Our goal is to make infrastructure simple for enterprises and public sector agencies seeking to get the most from AI and AI Agents. Headquartered in New York, our growing team is a group of AI, product, and engineering experts, who have a track record of creating and executing against complex workflows and infrastructure. We're a small and committed technical team that oversees engineering, research, design, product, and operations. We believe that a small dedicated team with a flat structure and collaborative culture can move faster and build better products than large hierarchical organizations. As a foundational member of the design team, you will have a huge part in shaping our product direction and design culture.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in product design, UX/UI design, or a related field.
• Strong portfolio showcasing work on complex, data-rich applications or enterprise software.
• Expertise in modern design and prototyping tools, especially Figma.
• Proven ability to lead the end-to-end design process.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience designing and contributing to scalable design systems.
• Experience designing developer-facing products, tools, APIs, or other technical platforms.
• Strong interest in and understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and large language models (LLMs).

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a fast-paced technology startup environment.
• Experience designing AI or MLOps systems.

Responsibilities

• Supercharge the design of our cutting-edge AI Workflow Orchestration platform.
• Create innovative, intuitive, and user-centered experiences for complex AI workflows.
• Work closely with engineering and product teams to translate user needs and technical capabilities into a seamless product.
• Lead the end-to-end design process from user research to detailed visual design.
• Collaborate with engineers for implementation of designs.

Benefits
