This temporary position is located at 333 Fayetteville Street, Raleigh -Wake County, with the North Carolina Office of State Human Resources. This is technical and analytical work in developing, designing, configuring, scripting, and/or supporting applications for the business, research, and/or instructional functions of clients. This role is responsible for independently gathering requirements, designing, and developing application systems within the data architecture established for the State. This is technical work with large sophisticated applications or a portfolio of applications and the management of application system implementation projects. This role works with management to define and design complex applications to meet the business development requirements of the organization, generally on an enterprise-wide level.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of progressive experience in business application consulting or development; or
  • Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of progressive experience in business application consulting or development; or
  • High School or General Education Development (GED) diploma and eight years of experience in business application consulting or development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate.
  • Integrate Power Apps with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and other Microsoft 365 services.
  • Customize SharePoint lists, libraries, and site structures to support app functionality.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across Power Platform and SharePoint environments.
  • Create development, testing environments to use prior to launching in production environment.
  • Provide technical solutions and support, documentation, and training to end-users.
