About The Position
At Cortland, as an Applications Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in implementing and supporting our software platform while resolving user issues for associates at both our communities and corporate offices. Your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive support via telephone and internet for problems or questions related to our property operating system (POS) software products. You will assist in the development of end-user instructions for the implementation of upgrades or updates, ensuring that our associates are well-equipped to utilize the software effectively. In this role, you will utilize helpdesk software to track technology support needs, capturing problems and solutions for future reference, and identifying training needs based on the aggregate of support issues. You will also review and analyze management reports for accuracy, researching to determine where data or report issues are occurring, and providing detailed information to applicable second-tier support for resolution. Your analytical skills will be essential as you troubleshoot and prioritize escalated issues, ensuring that technical problems are correctly escalated to our IT service provider when necessary. Additionally, you will support the setup of new properties in all multifamily applications, administering users and system setups to meet the operating requirements of Cortland. Your feedback from an end-user perspective will be invaluable as you assist with the testing and evaluation of new software, systems, and applications, ensuring usability once implemented.
