About The Position

Miller Electric, an ITW company, is seeking and Applications Specialist to join our Product and Marketing team within the Welding Accessories and Cutting Division. We are looking for someone eager to dive deep into our technical products and services in this customer-facing role. In this role, you will serve as the critical connector between Marketing, Product and the Sales organization, ensuring alignment, clarity and seamless execution of commercial strategies. This role is responsible for translating product information and marketing initiatives into clear, actionable tools and messaging for the internal Miller Sales Team while brining field insights, customer back and market needs back to Product and Marketing to inform improvements and prioritization. The liaison supports product launches, sales enablement, training, and communication flow across departments helping ensure the organization delivers consistent value, strong messaging and cohesive customer experience. How you will make an impact: Collaboration with key stakeholders Serve as the central communication bridge between Marketing/Product teams and Sales teams to ensure alignment of goals, messaging, and priorities. Translate product features, updates, launch details, and technical information into clear, sales-ready messaging and tools. Communicate with the Sales team’s needs, customer feedback, and market insights back to Marketing and Product team for continuous improvement. Gather and consolidate product questions and pain points from Sales, ensuring follow-up responses and solutions from Product/Marketing. Collaborates with internal (Miller) marketing, product and sales team to understand customer and end user requirements. Serve as a liaison between Sales and Product Management to ensure clear communication of customer needs, market feedback, and competitive insights. Delivers training, product demonstrations and sales support to sales team. Collaborates with internal (Miller) product management to provide product recommendations to address specific customer challenges. Track and report on the effectiveness of marketing assets and sales tools, providing recommendations for improvement Identify gaps in communication or resources and proactively recommend solutions Support as needed, opportunities with channel partners, end users, and internal sales teams on product trials to ensure successful adoption. Prepare additional sales materials to support sales team, including specific competitive comparison requests, presentations, sales graphs. What you need to do to be successful: Exceptional communication skills — able to clearly explain product details to Sales and translate field needs back to Product/Marketing Strong cross-functional coordination — comfortable managing priorities, aligning timelines, and navigating competing departmental needs Deep understanding of the product portfolio — knows features, value propositions, differentiators, and how they solve customer problems Analytical thinking — can interpret data, feedback, and sales performance metrics to identify opportunities or gaps Proactive problem-solving — anticipates needs, removes roadblocks, and proposes solutions before issues escalate Strong relationship-building skill s — earns trust and credibility with Sales, Product, and Marketing teams High level of organization — manages multiple projects, deadlines, and follow-up tasks simultaneously Emotional intelligence — mediates between teams with different pressures, working styles, and objectives Commitment to follow-through — ensures questions are answered, tasks are completed, and departments stay aligned Proficiency with key tools such as CRM systems Travel to suppliers and customer sites, and other responsibilities approximately 15% of the time, with occasional increases up to 35%.

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Product Management, Project Management or related field.
  • 2+ years of related experience.
