About The Position

Join BLM GROUP USA as an Applications Specialist for Press Brake, where you will serve as a technical resource within the Sales/Marketing department. You will conduct demonstrations, application tests, and time studies for customers, providing advanced technical support to the sales team and Product Manager. Your role will influence the workflow across departments, ensuring our clients receive the best solutions for their needs.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in a Technical field or equivalent military training.
• At least two years of Press Brake experience across multiple applications.

Responsibilities

• Formulates tooling quotes based on customer parts.
• Completes feasibility/time studies based on customer parts.
• Conducts customer software/machine demonstrations at the BLM GROUP USA facility in Novi, MI.
• Conducts customer software/machine demonstrations at customer sites.
• Runs sample parts per request of sales team members.
• Supports customers in the field with advanced training/applications.
• Commissioning and calibration of Solution Center Press Brakes.
• Responsible for development of demonstration parts.
• Continued development of machine tool files.
• Supports senior engineer in automation development.
• Presents Press Brake and software at tradeshows.
• Maintains showroom-quality condition of Press Brakes.
• Provides technical expertise to other Applications Engineers and Product Managers.
• Aids other departments with project specifications and completion.
• Develops Sales Tools for new features or machines.
• Performs thorough application analysis; recommends best fit laser solution.
• Conducts customer run-off acceptance tests at the BLM GROUP USA facility.
• Supports the Product Manager with advanced technical counsel.
• Maintains positive rapport and business relationships with customers.
• Travels to Italy 1-2 times per year for training.
• Travels up to 50% as needed by management.
• Commits to this position for a timeframe of 3 – 5 years.
• Works overtime as necessary to complete workload.
