Our program will run May - July with solidified dates coming soon. This position will be on site 5 days a week. We have one opening in Cary, NC and one in Wixom, MI.

  • Contribute to the Application Engineering team's support of customers using Parker Lord's chemical adhesives.
  • Complete external customer test requests, product launch support, technical marketing, and technical service.
  • Perform laboratory tests and customer application trials.
  • Prepare technical reports and blog publications.
  • Acquire knowledge of various department's operations, functions, responsibilities, and workflow.
  • Observe work assignments performed by others and actively participate in hands-on projects and/or special assignments.
  • Maintain communication with program coach/mentor to provide feedback on departmental assignments and program improvements.
  • Attend related training and apply it in work assignments.
  • Perform other related responsibilities.
  • Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Science or related program.
  • GPA of 3.0 or better.
  • Strong leadership skills and a 'can do' attitude.
  • Strong technical aptitude and analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong computer proficiency and the ability to quickly learn new applications.
  • Strong innovation and creative thinking, self-motivated.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Familiar with statistical software or related tools.
  • Some experience with making technical presentations and report writing.
