About The Position

This position is important to the overall effective operations of the organization and contributes to the overall achievement of the organization's established quality objectives. Responsibilities: Manage quote requests from inquiry to customer. Assess customer process requirements to develop a technically sound response Communicate current project status to District Sales Managers and customers when necessary. Contact customer for follow-up or additional information when necessary. Prepare quotes working with Product Managers, District Sales Managers, Production Engineering and Operations when necessary. Prepare proposal drawing of required equipment. Prepare specification of required equipment. Prepare cost estimates of required equipment when necessary. Request vendor quotes for major components and follow-up as necessary. Ensure Engineering hour estimates have been reviewed by appropriate Engineering Managers. Ensure Manufacturing hour estimates have been reviewed by appropriate Operations Managers. Obtain delivery estimates from Scheduling for inclusion in specification. Ensure quote package meets customer requirements. Obtain necessary Management approvals prior to forwarding to Sales/Customer. Travel as required for customer meetings, training, etc. Maintain MIS/proposal records and documentation. Attend kickoff meetings as required. Represent Proposal group as required.

Requirements

4-year Technical Degree preferred. Will consider a 2-year Technical Degree or equivalent experience.
Prefer some knowledge of converting systems equipment
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Excel and Word specifically
Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD and Solidworks
Good communication and organizational skills
Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Detail oriented
Associates or better in Engineering or related field.
Bachelors or better in Engineering or related field.
