About The Position

Trimble Military and Advanced Systems is the market leader in high-performance embedded GPS navigation receivers for aviation applications. The Trimble receivers are deeply embedded in inertial navigation subsystems. As an Applications Engineer, you will manage the specification, development, verification, integration, and deployment life cycle for TMAS embedded GPS systems, comprising digital, RF, power, and mechanical subsystems of circuit card-level receivers. You will support products from initial development to end of life, including conceptualization, proposals, design validation, new product introduction, engineering changes, manufacturing problem resolution, and quality issues. This will involve: Manage the specification, development, verification, and deployment life cycle for TMAS embedded GPS systems Support customer integration and use of the receivers, generate supporting data for proposals, and align the product specification with the customer and program requirements Analyze system behavior under operating scenarios to resolve customer and field issues Coordinate with internal teams to ensure the accuracy of the product specification, to manage the allocation of hardware, software, performance, and environmental requirements, and to ensure the verification strategy and the engineering deliverables meet the requirements Lead the design, development, integration, and release of test stations and techniques. Define, outline, and perform the training and sustaining activity required to successfully manage test verification programs Develop and publish product qualification test reports Working with the certification, CM, and QA leads, ensure that the deliverable system meets the design assurance, certification, and quality standards.
