Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Palmdale, CA is seeking an Applications Engineer Intern. In this role, you will support the design and implementation of new technologies that facilitate the build of our products. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of manufacturing and/or project management, and Interested in the business processes that support the successful execution of technical projects. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • Project management experience with ability to plan, coordinate, and support project execution.
  • Collaborative team contributor, comfortable working in team-based environments.
  • CAD Proficiency: Skilled in computer-aided design tools and software for technical drawing and design.

  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience planning, coordinating, and executing projects to achieve goals on time and within scope.
  • Written & Verbal Communication: Strong ability to articulate ideas clearly and professionally in reports, presentations, and team interactions.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively within team environments, fostering cooperation and shared success.
  • Microsoft Office Expertise: Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to produce documents, analyze data, and support communication.
