From Power-over-Ethernet controllers to isolated gate drivers, the Power Access team supports a broad range of products within Skyworks' exciting and innovative product portfolio. This versatile and growing team is heavily involved in the full product development life cycle, including product definition, firmware development, hardware design, validation, and support for key customers in the power industry. This internship is an opportunity to learn and gain valuable experience working with embedded systems, lab equipment, and automation while making key contributions to critical projects.

  • Design, develop, and test new and existing firmware and software for Power products
  • Create reference designs and evaluation systems demonstrating key product features
  • Collaborate with IC design, systems, validation, and marketing teams
  • Follow a document-driven software quality process that encompasses the full software development life cycle
  • Find creative solutions to help customers solve tough problems
  • Working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in EE, CE, or equivalent
  • Experience with high-level embedded programming and scripting languages (C/Python)
  • Strong understanding of electrical circuit fundamentals
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex systems (hardware and software)
  • Printed circuit board schematic capture and layout
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, comfortability in explaining technical concepts to a wide range of audiences
  • Experience with lab equipment (power supplies, oscilloscopes, DMMs, etc.)
  • Interface standards such as SPI, I2C
  • A great attitude with an eagerness to learn and the ability to adapt to changes in plans
