Position Overview The Engineer, Applications provides direct customer-facing support for system demonstrations, buyoffs, and initial system setup. Interactions include assisting with pre-sales support, configuring machines during demonstrations and buyoffs, and providing initial post-sales support. This role involves learning application knowledge and contributing to the characterization of machine performance.

  • Conducts initial new machine setup and calibration prior to customer buyoffs
  • Assists in the execution of machine buyoffs, including installation and training activities
  • Delivers training courses for customers, focusing on standard procedures
  • Performs process development for customers when assigned, under supervision
  • Provides post-sales process and system support for established issues
  • Contributes to conducting system demonstrations, either with the customer present or by building and reporting on finished parts
  • Assists in contributions to system manuals and other forms of documentation
  • Participates in the collection and feedback of opportunities for hardware and software improvements
  • Supports senior engineers as assigned
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Software Engineering
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of process experience in microelectronics
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all departments in the organization
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel frequently within the US
  • experience in semiconductor design/repair/maintenance preferred
  • Root cause analysis experience preferred
  • Field service experience is a plus
