About The Position

DN Solutions is seeking an experienced Applications Engineer with hands-on expertise in CAD/CAM programming, CNC machine setup, and process prove-outs. This role will support pre-sale evaluations, turnkey manufacturing process development, and customer implementations. You will be instrumental in driving technical solutions and ensuring customer success across DN Solutions’ product lines.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Machine Tool Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment (Tool & Die, job shop, or high-volume production).
• Strong hands-on experience with CNC machine setup, prove-outs, and process validation.
• Proficient in CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, Siemens NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, VERICUT), G&M code and MACRO programming for multi-task turning centers and 5-axis machining.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate customer requirements into practical solutions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-sale activities including customer visits, opportunity evaluations, machine assessments, part processing recommendations, and turnkey proposal development.
• Develop turnkey manufacturing processes by generating CNC programs, implementing tooling and fixturing, and validating processes while maintaining schedule, cycle time, and quality requirements.
• Provide technical customer support to distributors and key accounts, including programming, process optimization, and training.
• Design and execute cutting demos with a focus on new technologies and products.
• Support the full sales lifecycle with customer visits, product demos, time studies, and process recommendations.
• Document machine setups, applications, and process improvements for internal and customer reference.
• Assist with training, coaching, and mentoring both internal teams and external customers in advanced manufacturing concepts.
• Participate in Open Houses, trade shows, and other technical events as needed.
