The Applications Developer at UW Health is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting the Med Flight operations by troubleshooting hardware and software issues. This position requires the individual to provide secondary support for critical alerting and communication systems, including Hospital Paging Systems, Nurse Call, Real Time Locating Systems, and Remote Support Tools. The developer will work cross-functionally with various Information Services departments, ensuring effective communication and documentation skills are utilized to keep key stakeholders updated on progress and issues. The role involves managing and maintaining various Windows Server and Linux operating systems, as well as possessing a basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL. Critical thinking, continuous learning, and the ability to share ideas are essential for contributing to a well-established dynamic team. The work schedule is set for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with core hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, plus an after-hours on-call rotation. The position allows for hybrid work from Wisconsin and Illinois, which will be discussed during the interview process.
