We are looking for a highly motivated Intern to join our Bioinformatics team! We are an NGS applications team in a high-tech, fast-paced, R&D environment. We develop end-to-end support for various applications such as single-cell RNA-seq, whole genome methylation and germline/somatic variant calling. Responsibilities
- Work in a fast-paced cross-functional, technologically advanced corporate environment in an internship program focused on developing individual engineers capable of pursuing careers in biotech
- Improve your industry knowledge through a collaborative work environment
- Develop bioinformatic analysis packages for NGS applications
Requirements
- Currently a student in an accredited degree program pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Life Science, Engineering, or Physics
- At least 1 year of programming experience
- At least 1 year of bioinformatics experience
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
- Ability to work onsite, work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 8 weeks during summer 2025
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment
- Great work ethic and an enthusiasm for problem-solving
- Good presentation, writing and communication skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills

- Experience with python programming and developing in cloud environment

- Internship pays between $30 and $36 per hour, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location
