About The Position

The Applications and Support Engineer is the technical interface between Acculogic and the customers for its flying probe, in-circuit and boundary scan test equipment. Based in the Eastern US and working with the business development and technical support teams you will be the technical lead providing both pre-sales and post-sales support. Candidates with prior experience with automated test equipment (ATE) for the electronics industry are strongly preferred.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree or similar in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field of study
3-10 years previous applicable experience
An understanding of electronics and electro-mechanical principles. Including component theory and a well-developed ability to read and interpret schematics
Self driven, quick and eager learn, able to exhibit professional bearing under pressure
Excellent computer skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written as well as presenting to technical working groups and seminars.
Team player with the ability to contribute to a matrix organization while maintaining the ability to act and think independently in a fast-paced environment when needed
Ability to travel domestically and internationally. Travel is up to 70%
US Citizenship is required

Responsibilities

Pre-sales: customer demonstrations, evaluations and benchmarks, including development of test applications.
Presenting Acculogic tools at trade shows and seminars to promote the technology and advance Acculogic’s customer market awareness.
Post-sales: Phone support, equipment installation, preventative maintenance, fault identification and repair, installation of upgrades, delivery of training.
Developing test projects for circuit board testing
Participating in Acculogic’s products and test procedures further development
Collaborate with software development, engineering, sales and others to implement fixes, testing and install enhancements
Writing technical documentation, application notes and training materials
Extensive local, national and international travel will be required.
