Advanced position responsible for managing the implementation, configuration, upgrades, monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation, and administration of multiple enterprise applications and services. Demonstrates understanding of how software behaves to assist in configuring and troubleshooting systems.

  • Monitors vendor support tickets, troubleshoots, and resolves cases in a timely manner according to service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Provides acknowledgement, updates, and resolutions to end users’ application support requests.
  • Assists with coordinating and meeting with staff members from various departments to determine their OPAL and Community Plus needs.
  • Assists with preparing alternative options by reviewing the current state and evaluating alternative solutions.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement, optimizing peak performance, and utilization of supported applications.
  • Develops and maintains application-specific documentation for the business unit and technical support of systems.
  • Contributes to analysis, design, and evaluation of enterprise applications, including development of RFPs.
  • Uses analytical skills to troubleshoot, identify data quality and reporting issues.
  • Performs database queries on questionable user transactions and reports to the respective manager/director.
  • Contributes to policy recommendations on Department issues and programs to the IT Director.
  • Assists in the support of business-critical systems, including system modifications and maintenance.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Carries out such other projects as may be required to accomplish the organization and department's mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Responsible for personally knowing and following the County’s Personnel Policies and Procedures, Administrative Instructions, Department Operating Procedures, and applicable Statutes and Regulations.
  • Responsible for ensuring others also adhere to these standards.
  • Performs other related job duties as assigned.
  • In the event of special, emergency, or disaster situations, employees may be required to work schedules other than those for which they are regularly scheduled in any capacity deemed appropriate.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Equivalent experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
  • Two (2) years minimum prior related work experience.
  • Ability to perform professional-level work dealing with data, people, and technology that relates to administrative, technical, scientific, engineering, accounting, legal, or managerial skills.
  • Ability to follow basic guidelines for operational activities; make decisions that govern the activities and behaviors of staff members.
  • Work directly impacts other workers, citizens, or both.
  • Ability to have guidelines for work, but determine the approach for doing the work; the supervisor focuses on the outcomes of the work.
  • Ability to work with less than ten co-workers who are mostly engaged in the same activities.
  • Certifications in Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, or DB2 are strongly desired.
