The Applications Analyst provides analysis and technical support, and maintenance of the software used to support clinical and business processes. The individual is responsible for analyzing user needs and developing solutions to those needs while adhering to and maintaining best practice, organizational and regulatory standards as determined by IT and Organizational Leadership. The Applications Analyst will develop a clear understanding of the software and tools used to meet the needs of the end user following developed standards. Responsibilities include working with end-users, vendors and internal IT staff supporting business/clinical processes and facilitating cohesive integration of software applications with business and clinical operations. The Application Analyst support could include a subspecialty in designing and delivering training documentation for software used in business and clinical processes. This includes business and clinical analysis, training materials, user guides, building, testing, and maintaining training environments. The Applications Analyst may be required to provide on-call support coverage (24 hours per day, 7 days per week) on a rotating basis. The ability and means to regularly travel throughout the UVM Health Network may be required.

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • For Epic Application support, certification is required within 120 days of hire with a maximum of three attempts.
  • Level I: Preferred experience with application support and/or implementation or 1+ years of relevant operational experience.
  • Level II: At least 3 years of experience with application support and/or implementation or 3+ years of experience in IT support or a related role.
  • Level III: At least 5 years of experience with application support and/or implementation or 5+ years of experience in IT support or a related role.
  • Level IV: 8+ years of extensive experience in IT support, including application analysis, project management, and leadership roles.
