The Application Analyst II will take a lead role in the analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of critical application systems. The Application Analyst II will work closely with business stakeholders, provide technical leadership, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our IT processes. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with business leaders to understand strategic objectives and align application systems accordingly. Contribute to the development of long-term IT plans and roadmaps. Requirements Analysis and Solution Design: Lead the analysis of complex business requirements and propose effective application solutions. Design, configure, and implement sophisticated application systems to meet business needs. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership to the Application Analyst team, offering guidance and mentoring. Collaborate with development teams to ensure high-quality and scalable application solutions. System Optimization: Continuously assess and optimize existing application systems for performance, reliability, and efficiency. Implement best practices to enhance the overall effectiveness of applications. Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and oversee the execution of comprehensive testing strategies. Establish and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability of application systems. User Training and Support: Take a lead role in providing training to IT cross-functional team members on complex or newly implemented applications. Act as a point of contact for escalated user support issues, ensuring prompt resolution. Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Maintain detailed documentation for complex application configurations and processes. Facilitate knowledge transfer within the team and across departments. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain effective communication channels. Present technical information to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner. Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, e-mail). Performs other duties as assigned.
