The Applications Analyst (Fullstack Web Development/Engineering) position involves professional work that performs or assists in the planning, analysis, and implementation of information technology systems. The role includes consulting with business users to determine technology/application system requirements and providing technical advice and counsel to less experienced analysts. Responsibilities include programming, supporting IT systems, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. The analyst will consult with internal customers to identify and analyze current operational processes and systems, recommending technology solutions that meet business goals. They will also participate in evaluating user requests, establish decision matrices, coordinate work-arounds, install and test hardware and software, monitor production systems, resolve operating problems, and assist in disaster recovery testing.

  • Consult with business users to determine technology/application system requirements.
  • Provide technical advice and counsel to less experienced analysts.
  • Identify and analyze current operational processes and systems.
  • Recommend technology solutions, hardware, and software that meet business goals.
  • Evaluate user requests to determine feasibility, estimate cost and time requirements, and assess compatibility with existing systems.
  • Map current operating procedures and clarify application objectives.
  • Establish decision matrix and procedures for system, job flow, and database restoration.
  • Coordinate work-arounds and recoveries.
  • Install and test hardware and software and evaluate suitability and compatibility.
  • Monitor production systems and databases and initiate aversion, correction, and restoration actions.
  • Monitor accuracy, completeness, clarity, accessibility, and timeliness of project and user documentation.
  • Resolve operating problems and provide technical assistance and training to users.
  • Promulgate and enforce established technical and procedural standards.
  • Plan, construct, or alter programs to support performance tracking.
  • Assist in preparing documented proposals.
  • Assist in managing vendor relationships.
  • Assist with planning for the reengineering of existing applications.
  • Assist in disaster recovery testing.
  • Resolve escalated problems and refer new and unusual problems to a higher level.
  • Participate in ongoing training to continuously upgrade technical knowledge and skills.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Development/Engineering or similar degree.
  • Two (2) years of experience in Web Development, or a combination of education, training, and experience totaling six (6) years.
  • Professional experience must be in Web Development.
  • Required to assist in maintaining 24 X 7 systems availability.
  • A valid driver's license is required prior to employment and must be maintained during employment.
  • Other Certification, Registration and/or Training specific to the job may be required during employment.
